Hi there and welcome to my website, I am Richard Lawrance, a 56 year old Sales Development Manager for Parker Hannifin. I currently work extensively in Asia covering an area from Thailand to Japan down to New Zealand and back up to Indonesia. My expertise is in Condition Monitoring of Fluid Systems, having worked in this field for 32 years. I feel privileged to have made many good friends during my business travels from within my company and externally. I occasionally lecture on the field of predictive and preventive maintenance using condition monitoring. I currently live in the beautiful South of England with my fiancé Fran and my step-son Josh. Josh is an extremely keen basketball player and as a result of his enthusiasm for the game, and his ability, has led me into helping out the LUOL DENG FOUNDATION. Josh plays for both Angmering Cobras and Worthing Thunder and has completed his first year in sixth form college, where he is studying sport and doubtless playing even more basketball than before. This foundation has been set up by one of GB’s best ever basketball players and one of the NBA’s rising stars, playing for the Chicago Bulls. The aim is to raise funds and help clothe and equip the many thousands of misplaced people affected by the second civil war in Sudan.
The foundation requires clothing, books, writing equipment, sports gear and equipment, trainers….in fact just about everything you need to rebuild a community.
